About Adrian Sobolewski-Kiwerski
Adrian has a BA in English Studies and an MA in Philosophy and Contemporary Critical Theory. He has been writing about technology for a few years now, working both in Poland and with English-speaking publications, such as PCWorld, TechAdvisor and now Pocket Lint.
He is particularly interested in sustainable tech, loving all things second-hand, but also enjoys writing all kinds of guides, how-tos and comparisons. When not working, he is doing a Ph.D. in Philosophy — so basically some more work. Whether you want to talk phones, aesthetics or critical theory, he's glad to have a chat!
What was your first phone?
My first phone was my dad's hand-me-down Nokia 3210, but the first one I owned was a Siemens CX65.
When did your interested in technology begin?
I've always been into technology. I remember being so excited whenever someone got a new phone with some cool new features, and running to check them out. I always remember my first trials with overclocking, when I fried my motherboard with an Intel i5 750 that I just got — but it did hit 4.0 GHz.
What tech products or categories are you most passionate about?
I think all kinds of tech are interesting, but what I love the most is used tech, second-hand phones, laptops and tablets, among others. If you can give tech a new life without maintaining the cycle of consumption, I'm thrilled, that's why I get all my tech used.
